How To Pack Your Stuff
Packing doesn’t have to be stressful — a little strategy goes a long way. Whether you’re moving across town or across the country, staying organized will save you time, money, and a lot of headaches.
Start by decluttering. The less you take with you, the easier the entire process becomes. Donate or toss anything you haven’t used in a year. After that, gather sturdy boxes, tape, and packing materials so you’re not scrambling at the last minute.
Pack room by room and label every box on at least two sides. This makes unpacking faster and helps you keep track of essentials. Heavy items like books should go in smaller boxes, while lighter items like bedding can go in larger ones. Wrap fragile items individually and mark those boxes as “Fragile” so they’re handled with care.
Lastly, create a “First Night Box.” Include basics like toiletries, meds, a change of clothes, chargers, and anything you’ll need before you start unpacking.
A little planning means a much smoother move — and a much easier first day in your new home. Let us know if you want our full moving checklist to make the process even simpler.
